Whether you’re a virgin or not, you can still get HPV. What is the measure of a woman’s good health?

On the way with Chom this week, we will discuss everyday issues that you should be careful about. Can you get HPV even if you don’t do sexual activities? Risk of mutation into cancer. Be careful! Your vagina will be blocked if you don’t use it for a long time. Risk of sagging if you use it too much. We recommend ways to adjust your lifestyle so that your vagina is healthy inside and out with 5 elements that need to be taken care of. Knowledge shared by Dr. Aom – Dr. Nattaya Rakpuang , a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology.

What factors should you look for when choosing a healthy sister?
Dr. Aom: Nowadays, we have a beauty science called gynecology. It is a holistic health care for the younger sister and also for diseases to prevent future diseases. For example, cancer is caused by our poor health and then causes diseases later. Good younger sister health consists of 5 elements.

  1. Thinness of the vaginal wall
  2. Just the right amount of moisture
  3. The color of the vaginal wall should be pink.
  4. Blood vessels must not be easily broken or fragile.
  5. PH balance (Acid-alkaline balance of the vagina)

Do virgin women who have never had sex have better vaginal health than those who have had sex?
Dr. Aom: The word good health has many parameters to measure. In fact, if you don’t have sex at all, the vagina is an organ that needs to function. If you don’t use it at all, it has its own disadvantages, which is that there is no blood flow to it, no hormones to nourish it, no stimulation. It’s like if we pierce our ears and don’t wear earrings, after a while they become clogged, something like that.

For single ladies, how do you take care of and support yourself?
Dr. Aom: Check your health. If we assume that we are still okay, we eat dietary supplements that have a lot of phytoestrogen to make it thin, to make it contract slowly. But our nature is that if we don’t use it at all, it will be tight and contract at the entrance. If we have to use it, we may need help, need to expand it a bit, use lubricant, use a position that makes it easier to enter. The most relaxed pelvic position is from the back.

So, for those who are single, is the care method different?
Dr. Aom: For single women, having regular sexual activities is like exercising. What they will get is pelvic floor exercise. In fact, the pelvic floor is only about 1/3 of the lower part of the vagina. It is like our floor to support 3 organs: the upper uterus, the front of the bladder, and the back of the rectum. It has a great effect on how strong it is when used, squeezed, and tightened continuously. It also prevents sagging. Now, if it is used heavily, the bad thing is that it will stretch continuously. What may need to be repaired is the tendons, which are loose and stretched. If it is used continuously, it may be necessary to supplement with collagen to keep the tendons like rubber bands all the time and bounce back.

What should you look for when looking for good vaginal hygiene?
Dr. Aom: The pH balance is normally around 3.5-5 in our vagina. If the pH changes more than 5, there will be a bacterial infection, which will cause an odor. The odor can be caused by bacteria or food. Some foods have strong smells and strong flavors, and the odor will be transmitted to the mucous membranes in our vagina. If the food smells strong, we need to ventilate well to prevent the production of too much mucus, which will cause yeast infection. If it’s too moist, it’s not good. If it’s too dry, it’s not good.

Does our sister have a detox every day?
Dr. Aom: Yes, there is. It is called an ecosystem. It has its own kitchen for disease prevention. It consists of 3 important things: 1. Local bacteria or probiotics. 2. Estrogen hormone. 3. Nutrition of bacteria such as glycogen or hyaluronic acid, collagen in the vagina that can take care of itself.

How often should we get tested, whether we are single or married? At what age is it recommended to start getting tested?
Dr. Aom: If you are a single woman who has never had sex, I recommend getting tested at age 25. The reason why you need to get tested is that as we know, 99.99% of cervical cancers are caused by sexual intercourse. Chronic HPV infection mutates and takes about 5-10 years to mutate into cancer, depending on how aggressive the strain is. But why do we start at age 25 even though we have never had sex? Because there is another 0.1% chance that single women can get infected. And it’s not just sexual intercourse. These days, it’s found a lot, everywhere, in public restrooms, spray lines. There are both herpes and HPV, which are pathogens that are caused by sexually transmitted diseases.
