He revealed the turning point that made him serious about taking care of his health, changing his life with 10 years of discipline because he wanted to have the strength to carry his child for a long time. He revealed a health belief that doctors disagree with. Is a complete diet of all 5 food groups not necessary?

When you party hard, what is your heaviest level?
Nott Wisarut: How hard is it? You’ve been complimenting me lately. Really? The hardest time was when I was in my early 20s after graduating from university. All my close friends were foreigners. After graduating, we all liked to come and live in Thailand. We promised each other that we would stay in Thailand for 2 months, about 60 days. We made a pact that for 60 days and 60 nights, we had to party every night. We had to make it happen. Even today, my friends who work in Hong Kong still talk about this.

When you were broke, how much did you weigh?
Nott Wisarut: During that time I didn’t weigh much, but I was probably around 80 kilos. I had no muscle at all. I used to be in university for 4 years, go to the weights every week, play football on the weekends. When I came back to Thailand I had nothing. I let myself go, ate everything, still ate late at night, still ate at 1-2 AM. At that time I didn’t feel anything because I went out until 6 AM. At 9 AM on Saturday I was still playing football. I didn’t sleep much, didn’t eat well, didn’t do weight training, lost muscle. I don’t know how it came back. Maybe it’s because I have a wife, kids, family, so I came back to take care of myself.

What is the point where you feel you need to take care of your health?
Nott Wisarut: It was when my dad got sick. When I had free time, I started looking for information. Some people said that cancer is hereditary, but we studied about food and lifestyle to prevent it, what could help cure it. At that time, there wasn’t much information. It took time. What I knew was that I had to come back and adjust my lifestyle.

What did you change at that time?
Nott Wisarut: If you know, can you do it? Knowing and doing are two different things. Some people say that they know that eating a lot makes them fat, but can they stop their mouths? They know that sugar is bad, can they stop it? It will take some time, maybe a week, to find knowledge. They need discipline and consistency before they can change until it becomes a habit. It takes 10 years to become a lifestyle.

The time when you felt that you had clearly changed was when you complimented Gale’s stomach, right?
Nott Wisarut: Yes, as I said, knowing and doing are two different things. It takes time. Once you know, try to adjust one thing at a time. It’s not like today you know 10 things and do all 10. You have to adjust gradually, starting with exercise and diet. Make everything a lifestyle.

Please explain your lifestyle?
Nott Wisarut: I do IF. I have to say first that I am not a doctor or an expert, but I am here to share my experience and methods for making it happen no matter what you do in this world. You have to start with WHY. If you want to succeed, you have to make yourself believe first why you have to do IF. Then you will understand. Once you understand, you want to do it. Start one thing at a time.

How do you choose health information, because there is so much information these days?
Nott Wisarut: Read with discretion. I like to read and listen to many sides. Whatever I think is right, I start to experiment with myself. What works for me does not mean it works for others. But I don’t believe in extremes, whether I’m a carnivore or a vegan. I believe there must be a middle way. Then experiment with myself. Do IF 16/8 gradually. But if I can’t do it, I don’t force myself. It’s better than yesterday.

Has the food changed a lot?
Nott Wisarut: Food has changed a lot. People need to eat enough protein. I don’t believe that we need to eat all 5 food groups because the body really doesn’t need sugar and starch as much as it should. Personally, I believe that sugar and starch are the causes of high cholesterol, not fat. I’ve experimented on myself. This is my personal belief. Therefore, breakfast is not necessary. These days, I wake up early and don’t eat anything. I drink coffee and go lift weights. It’s been 5 years and I haven’t eaten breakfast.

What is your regular menu?
Nott Wisarut: Eat vegetables first: broccoli, asparagus, zucchini, tomatoes. After that, I’ll eat protein: chicken, beef, salmon, 6 eggs a day. Eat good oils like extra virgin olive oil, ghee, and coconut oil. Don’t use vegetable oil. Don’t put in a lot of seasonings. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, 3 meals. If there aren’t business people to talk about, I’ll eat at home every day.

So how is your fitness these days?
Nott Wisarut: I exercise regularly, set a time every morning. If I don’t go to the factory, I will spend at least 2 hours in the gym. I opened Cubic Fitness with a trainer to make it a lifestyle. If you exercise regularly, the results will come.

I have a question. In the past, if I held liquor in my hand, I would drink it all night long without realizing it. But now, I hardly touch it at all?
Nott Wisarut: Yes, nowadays if anyone asks what I drink, I will say vodka because it’s clear, but it’s not, it’s just water. And when I go to parties, I drink soda all night when I go out. I also drink red wine because of society sometimes, but very little. It happens because I use my time as a lifestyle. We know that drinking wine has a lot of sugar. Drinking alcohol, when it goes down, the body becomes toxic and the liver needs to expel it. Other wastes will stick to the side as well. I’m not a doctor, but I’ve studied it. It’s a personal belief.

About sleeping?
Nott Wisarut: I try to go to bed at the same time. At home, by 8 pm, everyone is already in bed. I have to sit and work a little bit. By 11 pm, I try to sleep 8-9 hours. I measure REM and Deep sleep to get at least 2 hours. If I can’t, I have to find the cause, such as eating too much or being too stressed. Nowadays, I’m afraid of people inviting me out, afraid of people inviting me to drink. Nowadays, even just a little bit, I go to the doctor.
